

Šimon Holiš is originally from Wallachia, as he was born in Valašské Meziříčí. From a young age, he was a very active sportsman, devoting himself to tennis, ice hockey and athletics. He first studied acting for four years at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava under the guidance of Václav Klemens, and then completed a two-year programme at the Prague Conservatory, graduating with an absolutorium. As an actor, he draws inspiration from the Stanislavski method.
He has appeared on screen, for example, in the television series Kriminálka Anděl and Odznak Vysočina, as well as in other television projects. In addition to acting, he is also actively involved in singing.
Since November 2025, he has been a permanent member of the acting ensemble of Divadlo pod Palmovkou, where he appears in the drama By the Bog of Cats, the sci-fi comedy Encyclopedia of Action Film and the documentary drama The Manhattan Project.
Outside his professional life, he is a great lover of video games, films and sport. His favourite ice hockey team is the Washington Capitals.
